%C 説明：左手に十字架のついた珠を持ち、右手で祝福を与えるキリスト像は、礼拝用聖画として代表的な図像の一つです。この像はアントワープで刊行された銅版画をもとに、銅板に油絵具で描かれました。画面右下に「IS 97」と記されていることから、「IS」を「15」と解釈し、1597年に描かれたとする説があります。 当時の日本ではキリスト教の布教をすすめたイエズス会によって、西洋流の絵画教育が行われていました。この像も裏面に「Sacam. Iacobus」と書き込まれていることから、ヤコブ丹羽(丹羽ジャコベ)が宣教師ジョバンニ・ニコラオの指導を受けて描いたものと推測されています。（2020.07）2019年度東京大学デジタルアーカイブズ構築事業により再撮影を行い、従来の公開画像とあわせて、より高精細な画像も公開しました。
