渋江保が松崎慊堂『慊堂遺文』続編を筆写して鴎外に贈ったもの。内容は序跋、題言、碑文、短い日記など多岐にわたり、保は『慊堂日暦』や原本をもとに朱筆で校勘を加えている。慊堂は近世後期の儒者であり、『伊沢蘭軒』や『北条霞亭』の主要な登場人物である。「伊藤景久像賛」への「他日須得善本而訂正」という保の註が示す通り、本書は稀覯書の部類に属する。慊堂の行実を知る上でも貴重な資料と言えよう。(多)
