The Ogyū Family Papers

A collection of documents handed down in the family of Ogyū Sorai, a prominent Edo-period Confucian scholar. It contains manuscripts in Sorai’s own hand as well as other documents. The collection was donated to the University of Tokyo in 2021 by Sorai’s descendants, Mr. Ogyū Shigeki and Ms. Shōji Taeko
