Description

解説: ヴュルツブルク大学と裁判所のあいだにあるシーボルト像の写真。シーボルトの生誕を祝い1903年2月17日に撮影された。シーボルト像を挟んで左が長男アレクサーダー、右が次男ハインリヒ（小シーボルト）、右から４番目の人物は横手千代之助（東京帝国大学衛生学教授）(記事掲載: Feier des 109. Geburtstages Ph. Fr. v. Siebolds. "Ost-Asien” Mai 1903, Nr. 62, p.51 ) 『シーボルト先生 : 其生涯及功業』p887-889に像建立の経緯が掲載されている。

画像注記: 下部マスキングに隠れて"FRANKONIA-WÜRZUBURG”の記載あり。被写体の写真台紙のもの。
