Site:Utoro Takinoue site: on the floor of Pit House 2

Period:The first half of Tobinitai culture

Date:10-11th century

Possessor:Tokoro Research Laboratory

Comment:A pottery from the first half of the Tobinitai culture. The notches on the body are rather unique, but other elements are similar to usual Tobinitai pottery, which combines elements of Okhotsk Haritsuke-mon series pottery (clay and surface finishing) and those of Satsumon pottery (forming).
