解説：トビニタイ文化はオホーツク文化が擦文文化と接触し、変容してできた文化で、両者の折衷的な文化内容をもつ。この例は、トビニタイ文化前半期を代表する一括資料のうちの一点で、「トビニタイ土器群Ⅱ」（菊池1972）の標式資料である。

Comment：The Tobinitai culture is an assimilated culture formed by the interaction of the Okhotsk culture and the Satsumon culture. This piece is a typical example of pottery from the first half of the Tobinitai culture that is called Tobinitai Pottery Group Ⅱ (Kikuchi 1972).
