呉の陸璣の著『毛詩草木鳥獣虫魚疏』に、近世中期の漢学者淵景山が、図と注解を付けたもの。鴎外自らが製本を行っており、「詩疏図解」と記された自筆の題簽や、独特の茶表紙が付されている。随所に見られる朱筆の注記は、鴎外以外の人物の手になる可能性が高いが、こうした別筆の書入れについても、化粧裁ちなどの際、頁上辺の紙を余分に残すなどして、それが失われないように工夫していることに注意すべきであろう。書入れを含めて、本書が鴎外の学問的関心に適う資料であったと推測できる。なお、この『陸氏草木鳥獣虫魚疏図解』は、『帝室博物館書目解題』にも取り上げられている。(合)
