日本、中国、西洋の歴史的事件を対照する形で編まれた年表。神代から明治年間にわたる。そこに鴎外の筆で「古事記、旧事記」、「書紀」などの歴史書の書名、和暦と西暦との対照表や、徳川将軍の謚号、また清代中国皇帝の系図などが書込まれている。本文末尾には、明治31年にグレゴリウス暦改暦の不備を補う目的で出された勅令第90号に関する解説文(出典不明)が貼付されている。(多)
