資料の解説

鴎外が『伊沢蘭軒』執筆のための資料として作った本である。大部分を菅茶山の菅家、ならびに茶山の父である樗平の出た高橋家の系図が占める。冒頭に「黒瀬格一写福田禄太郎朱記」とあることから、黒瀬格一蔵本を福田禄太郎が増補し、それを鴎外が写したことがわかる。『伊沢蘭軒』その百三十七には、「頃日福田禄太郎さんを介して、黒瀬格一さんに検してもらつた所に徴するに」との記述があり、またその百五十六には「わたくしの手許には福田禄太郎さんが黒瀬格一さんに請うて写し得た菅波高橋両家の系図がある」ともあって、作品の執筆に用いられていることが知られる。また本書には、鴎外写の「樗平翁墓碑文」、ならびに筆写者不明の「菅家過去帳」が合綴されている。(出)
