鴎外自筆の題簽には「大塩平八郎事件」とある。2丁表には「武蔵国岩槻領岡泉村/組頭丈輔事/宇三郎/執筆/大塩平八郎ヲ森先生ニ謹呈ス/孫/渋谷塊一」とあり、鴎外の筆で「(南埼玉郡日勝村岡泉也)」と注記がある。『大塩平八郎』執筆の際に参考とされた資料と考えられる。(出)
