袋綴冊子内には封筒（表書：「紡績業沿革　島津斉彬公創業考云々ノ事」）1枚に入れられた冊子1冊（「大日本紡績株式会社」罫紙）があり。この冊子には「大正十三年六月稿」とあることからして、この封筒入冊子は、薩藩Ⅱ-8-9が受入処理されたのちに、薩藩Ⅱ-8-9の付属史料として保管されたと考えられる。この封筒入冊子に受入番号がないこと、保管状況から、この封筒入冊子は付属史料として扱う
