本書は、近世後期の者片山恒斎の詩文稿。恒斎は広瀬蒙斎門下であり、昌平黌で学んだ後、白河藩や桑名藩で教鞭を執った。最初と最後の丁に鴎外の書入れがある。「右片山恒斎詩文稿一巻大正五年丙辰獲於市源高湛」「恒斎名成器字君彝師事蒙斎広瀬典有昨非堂集十数巻湛又識」(最終丁裏)という識語から、大正5年(1916)に本書を購入したことが分かる。晩年における盛んな古書収集活動の一端がうかがえる。(合)
