『陰符經』は道家の思想を取り入れた古代の兵法書。本書は、明代焦竑によるその解説書である。鴎外は本書について、別叢書の所収本などと校勘を行っているのであるが、参照した書として、『道蔵経』、『説郛』、『漢魏叢書』、『百家名書』の名を冒頭に掲げている。巻尾に「戊午十月十日湛校」と記されていることから、大正7年(1918)、鴎外57歳、帝室博物館総長兼図書頭時代の書入れであることが分かる。(合)
