活字化：January 10, 1901 Dear Dr. Chree ／The B.A. Seismo Committee should meet on or about the 26th of this month. ／With Dr. Glazebrook’s sanction I should like to place before them, a short note on the 2 instruments you have and copies of the seismograms for Dec 25th. ／The object is to compare with Bidston, Edinburgh, and Shide at which place the foundations are as different geologically as we can get them. ／Shide commenced at 5h 16.9m and yours at 5h 16.4m. ／My max: ampl at 6h 5.0m is 3mm. ／I should also like to have copies of artificially produced swingings (like the enclosed) of the two pendulums. ／From what you tell me I fear that there is yet something wrong in the pivoting of yours. ／Yours very truly J.
