資料の解説

琳派の画家として知られる酒井抱一が、自身の句稿『軽挙観句藻』から抜萃して編んだ発句集である。写本であるが、本文は鴎外の筆ではなく、筆写者不明。本文には明らかな誤りが多数見られ、鴎外は他本を用いてそれらを訂正している。また、巻末に鴎外の筆で「明治三十一年十二月二十六日午夜一校畢観潮楼主人」とあることから、この校訂作業の行われた時日が知られる。明治30年(1897)前後、鴎外は正岡子規と親しく交流していたが、そうしたなかで培われた俳諧への関心を示す資料だと言えよう。(出)
