解説：古手の擦文土器で、藤本編年bに相当する。常呂川下流域では藤本編年eより古い土器の出土は少なく、No.49とともにやや珍しい例となる。胴部文様は、横走する沈線で段を区切り、その間に山形の沈線文と、列点文を充填する構成となっている。

Comment：An early type of Satsumon pottery, which is Type b (Fujimoto’s chronology 1972). In the Lower Tokoro River Basin there are few examples earlier than Type e (ibid), so this example and the one in No. 49 can be considered to be rather rare examples. The decoration patterns on the body are punctuated by horizontal incised lines, and a chevron-shaped incised line and puncture marks are filled in between the lines.
