資料の解説
著書の中江兆民は明治期の思想家として、また、自由民権運動の指導者として有名な人物。本書は癌のため余命一年の宣告を受けた兆民が、政治、文学、芸能など様々な分野の事件や人物について、自由に批評した書物である。鴎外による注記や誤字訂正などの書入れがある。なお、「付録」への書入れは別筆と思われる。(小・出)
