本書の大部分は、三輪執斎以下数十名の事蹟や系図、『新武州金石銘類』ほか諸書より作成した人名録であり、また室田英哉・淸水広博・井上哲次郎らの書簡なども合綴されている。庚申は大正9年(1920)であり、本書の大部分はこの年に作成されたと考えられるが、書簡には大正10年(1921)の日付を持つものもあり、最終的な製本はそれ以降のことであろう。一部には、当時執筆中だった『北条霞亭』や『帝諡考』などの資料も含まれるが、多くは用途不明の覚書のようである。(出)
