解説：稲を刃で刈取りしながら、手動ハンドルを回して紐（ひも）で結束（けっそく）し、側方に排出する作業工程を連続的に行う人力1条刈（じょうがり）バインダー。結束する束（たば）の大きさを任意に調節でき、倒伏（とうふく）適用性も高いが、現在のバインダーにある突起付（とっきつき）引起し装置は、まだ装備されていない。湿田での作業が可能なことに加え、作業能率が3～4h/10aで人手の約3～5倍あったので、稲刈りの重労働から解放でき、当時としては画期的な機械であった。
