Period:Ainu

Date:15th century

Comment:A horizontal-lug type of interior-lug (Naiji) pottery, in which the lugs are fixed horizontally. There are only a few examples of this type, so including that in No. 58, these are rare examples. This dish was excavated with animal remains including fish bones and harpoon heads (see No. 60) and iron implements from the Ainu Sending-back ritual that used the depression of abandoned Pit House.
