解説:擦文土器の器種には、甕形のほか、坏形や高坏形などが認められる。高坏形は藤本編年eの時期に出現し、坏形はそれと入れ替わるように衰退する。これは藤本編年gないしhの資料で、体部の全体に綾杉状の沈線文が施されている。

Comment:Satsumon pottery takes the form of dishes and pedestalled dishes in addition to jars. Pedestalled dishes started to appear from Type e pottery according to Fujimoto’s chronology (1972), and the dish form declined as it was replaced. This is an example of Type g or Type e pottery (ibid), and the entire surface of body is decorated with herring-bone shaped incised lines.
